As for your comments, I agree once again with you Jack. I think one cannot change another human being, and one cannot be helped if he/she does not want to be helped. I also think that we do have more technologies and more mediatization (is that an English word?) of the events in the world nowadays so i am not so sure we do have a more violent society but i think people speak more and read more newspapers and media are 24/4 on the job so it is also a mean for us to learn more about the world and what's happening in the other parts of it. There always have been wars in all parts of history about one people wanting another part of earth, and killing for getting it. So once again i don't know whether it is a more violent society or just because we are more opened about it. Look at abused women for instance. When i was first abused i was eight and then raped at 17 but i kept silent for years, too scared not to be trusted! My dad's sister was beatten up for ten years by her "loving husband" and when i called the police they told me "she must have deserved it". As for the differences one makes in the world I think and I try to apply that myself that one, should first try to look around oneself because maybe one of his/her friend or family member needs more help than someone else unkown. So yes i am not G Cluney travelling Africa but i try to give some love and financial to my loved ones, so as to at least try to make a change in their life. love and kisses to both of you from Paris!
