CONFUSION, OFTEN IS A PLACE WHERE YOU STOP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING. YOU MAY BE MULTI TASKING OR SIMPLY "MAKING WORK. IT'S A GOOD TIME TO STOP-THINK AND REASSESS THE DIRECTION YOU'RE PRESENTLY TAKING.

This is good sound advice to all of us. I am certain it is the mindset of those who have succeeded in business and in life. In my profession the golden ring goes to the attorneys who not only recognize the problems but develop means and procedures to resolve them. They take advantage of the opportunities that crises often generate and, most importantly, they have the self-confidence to know when not to chase the ball when it is going out of bounds. It is the other side of the positive attitude or in a sense the same side in that you are positive nothing can be done so save your strength (and the client's money) and live to fight another day.
